Frequently Asked Question

What is CeMAP ?

CeMAP is a qualification which proves that you know about all areas of the mortgage market and how to work as a mortgage advisor.

Why do I need a CeMAP qualification?

CeMAP is the qualification required by FCA to become a mortgage advisor and work at banks or other organisations in an advisory role.

How does DTA teach its CeMAP course?

Our CeMAP course is provided through online distance-learning. However, all lessons and lectures are taught live by a tutor so you still get the all-important discussions and feedback but in the comfort of your own home.

How is CeMAP organised?

The CeMAP qualification is split over three modules, each of which has its own exam to complete.

What does each CeMAP module cover?

  • CeMAP 1: An overview of UK financial services and regulations.
  • CeMAP 2: In-depth learning of mortgages, including mortgage markets, policies, applications, products, etc.
  • CeMAP 3: Assessment of mortgage knowledge and advice.
